My CPD

Another section you’ll have access to is My CPD, this is the area of Care Academy where you curate and manage your continuous professional development profile. 

In this section, you can upload and track externally attained, CPD-accredaited, courses to build up a tracker of your achievements and CPD hours by clicking ‘Add Entry’

Within this section you can create a full entry for the activity you completed. This includes:

• Activity Title, what you completed;
• Description, a bit more detail on what the content/activity you took on involvedl;
• Activity Type, what category of activity does this experience fit into? Did you read a book, watch a video, attend a seminar etc.?
• Web link, if the content you viewed is accessible on the web, you can include a link to it here.

• Date Activity Completed, is there for you to store when you undertook the activity; and

• Time taken is there for you to log the hours/minutes committed to the activity.

You can set targets, so if you want to do so many hours in a set period of time you can set that here. The My CPD section will total up all of the hours you have put in to build you CPD profile, and by giving yourself targets, you can use Care Academy to push yourself and excel as a care professional.

You can also input a reflectory comment on how you found the experience.

To finish your entry, please upload an evidence document, this could be the certificate you received from the course.
