Managing Availability via the Worker Mobile App
To help your agency offer you the most relevant shifts, you can now manage your short-term availability directly through your mobile app.
By keeping your availability up to date, you ensure that you only receive shift offers when you are actually free to work.
Understanding Your 7-Day Rolling View
In the app, you will see a 7-day rolling calendar. Each day will show one of two statuses:
- Available: This is your default status. It tells the agency you are ready for work!
- Unavailability: Use this when you have a personal commitment or are otherwise busy.
How to Update Your Availability

Marking Yourself as Unavailable
If you have personal commitments or simply need a day off, follow these steps to update your status:- Access Availability: On your app home screen, tap the Availability button under the Quick Actions menu.
- Select the Date: Find the specific day you wish to update from the 7-day rolling list and tap the arrow (>) next to it.
- Choose Your Unavailability Type:
- Whole Day: Ensure the Full day unavailable toggle is switched ON. Tap Mark as Unavailable to block out the full 24 hours.
- Specific Times: Switch the Full day unavailable toggle OFF. Tap + Time Window to set your busy hours (e.g., 12:30 to 15:30). You can add multiple windows if needed.
- Update Availability: Tap the Update Availability button to save. Your agency will see this change immediately
- Editing or Removing Your Status
Plans change! If you become free again or need to adjust your times:
- Edit Times: Tap on the existing 'Unavailable' entry. Adjust your start or end times and tap Update Availability.
- Return to Available: To completely remove an unavailability block, tap the entry and select the white Mark as Available button at the bottom left of the screen.

Overlap Check: If you add multiple time windows, ensure they do not overlap. The app will show a red warning if there is a timing conflict.
Note: You can only maintain and edit your availability within the current 7-day window. For long-term absences, please use the Leaves section.
Important Things to Remember
- Rolling 7-Day Window: You can only manage and edit your availability for the current 7 days. Planning beyond this week is not available through this specific tool.
- Default Status: The system automatically marks you as Available unless you specifically add an "Unavailability" block.
- Overlap Prevention: If you add multiple time windows in one day, ensure they do not overlap. The app will display a red warning if there is a timing conflict.
