Agreements can now be configured to support either an Hourly Rate or a Fixed (Day) Rate for shifts
Agreements can now be configured to support either an Hourly Rate or a Fixed (Day) Rate for shifts, enabling agencies and providers to pay workers a set amount per shift instead of an hourly rate. This enhancement is ideal for roles such as teachers or sleep-in shifts, where payment is typically based on a flat rate for the entire shift duration.
Previously, the system only supported hourly-based rate configurations, calculating shift payments by multiplying the duration by the hourly rate. This approach posed challenges for roles where a fixed payment per shift is standard—such as teachers or sleep-in shifts—leading to workarounds and manual adjustments that increased the risk of errors and inefficiencies.
With this new enhancement, agreements can now be configured to apply a fixed (day) rate per shift, regardless of the number of hours worked. This update streamlines payroll processes, reduces manual intervention, and aligns the system with real-world payment practices for various roles.
