Completing Courses

Picking up courses through Care Academy only takes a few clicks to get started, you just need to find the course you want, in this case we’ll choose the Care Certificate - Standard 14, click on it, and press ‘Open’.

It’ll start off with a short endorsement message about our e-learning course provider. To get to the course content, you can click ‘Skip’ in the top right corner.

Now you’re in the course you’ll be able to see a brief overview of the course at the top, which’ll go over what is going to be covered, and how long this particular course should take.

Each module in the course is broken down into blocks, each taking varying lengths of time to complete. We’ll go into the first block ‘Keeping records’. Courses will have a lot to interact with, so make sure to follow any instructions in Bold as this will count towards your completion of the module and course as a whole.

Courses will also have pop quizzes to test your knowledge, don’t worry if you get any of these wrong, they’re meant to be a learning opportunity.

Once you’ve worked through the course content blocks, feel free to jump into the assessment! Assessments are usually required to be completed in one sitting, so make sure you’ve made plenty of notes from the content before.

There’s no time limit for assessments so take your time in answering the questions. Once you have inputted your answer, click ‘Submit’ below each question to lock in your answer.

Once all questions have been answered and submitted, you’ll be able to see your results. If you scored 80% or more, you’ll have passed the course! And will receive a copy of your certificate via email. Of course, you can always download your certificate from the My Achievements section too.

Remember, if you haven’t interacted with all the content, then you won’t receive your certificate. So go back to the course blocks, and make sure all of them are 100% complete.
