Calendar

The Calendar is one part of Care Academy that’s going to be really useful when it comes to managing upcoming events (whether they’re enrolled, pending etc.), alongside course deadlines (set by your team leaders), plus certificate renewal periods and expiries.

All calendar items are conveniently colour-coded so that you can easily distinguish event sessions, catalogue items and expiry related dates from each other. To understand what each colour means, please see key below the calendar.

You’ll see a few dates on here for November, all of which are Event Session related - with this one of the 29th being an event I’ve requested enrolment onto. If you want to find out some more detail about the Calendar item, simply click on the item of interest and it’ll bring up a summary and, if it’s an event, the ability to enrol.

This user completed Care Certificate - Standard 3: Duty of Care in October 2023, so if we move forward to October 2024 - you’ll see that there’s a reminder that the certificate is about to expire, the system will also send them a notification around this date too. 

If we go forward another month, you’ll see the actual expiry date of this certificate too. As learners you will then know that once Care Academy reminds you of the expiry, you’ve got one month to renew it - so you can go back to the course, refresh your memory, and retake the assessment so you don’t become training non-compliant.
