A new feature to automatically unallocate suggested workers who are not selected for a job.
This release introduces a significant improvement to the suggested worker management process. A new feature has been implemented to automatically unallocate suggested workers who are not selected for a job, streamlining shift assignment and enhancing communication with agencies.
Previously, when agencies suggested workers for shifts, those workers remained indefinitely in the Suggested Workers tab—even after another worker had been selected and assigned. This created several issues:
- Agencies had no visibility on whether their suggested workers were accepted or rejected.
- Workers remain in the suggested state for extended periods, potentially becoming ineligible.
- If a worker needs to be changed after assignment, agencies must re-suggest the same worker, creating unnecessary steps and delays.
With the new enhancement, once a provider or CareHires admin selects and assigns a worker to a shift:
- All other suggested workers for that shift will automatically be moved back to the Eligible Workers list.
- The system will automatically notify the respective agencies that their suggested worker was not selected and another worker has been assigned.
This feature significantly enhances the efficiency and transparency of the worker allocation process by automatically updating worker statuses and ensuring timely communication with partner agencies. It minimises manual errors, reduces delays in assigning workers, and strengthens coordination between CareHires and its agency partners.

1. Automated notifications will be sent to agencies informing them that their suggested worker was not selected.
2. Notification includes the reason (if provided) or simply states that another worker has been selected. - Worker Status Management:
1. Ensures that unselected suggested workers are not left in limbo.
2. Prevents workers from becoming ineligible due to prolonged suggested status.
