What is the difference between Agency Accelerator Free and Pro?
See which modules come with Agency Accelerator Free, which need Pro, and where Free has limits.
Agency Accelerator comes in two versions. The main difference is the work each one covers.
- Free supports the work you do through Care Hires, and lets you create up to three Direct Clients. It costs nothing to use.
- Pro supports your whole agency, including your Direct Clients. It is charged at 1% of the invoices you raise to your Direct Clients.
This article sets out what each version includes, module by module, so you can see where you stand and when it is worth upgrading.

What you can do on Free
Free gives you everything you need to deliver work for your Care Hires Clients:
- Build your workforce. Add workers, keep your worker list up to date and group workers into teams.
- Fill Care Hires shifts. Find shifts in the Marketplace and manage them in Jobs.
- Invoice Care Hires Clients. Use Finance for your Care Hires Clients.
- Keep track of Care Hires activity. Log tasks against your Care Hires work.
- Check your agreements. Review your provider agreements at any time.
- Add your first Direct Clients. Create up to three Direct Clients before you upgrade.
What Pro adds
Pro unlocks the modules you need to run the rest of your agency:
- Clients. Create as many Direct Clients as you need, and use the rota and billing for them.
- ATS. Run your recruitment, from application forms to hiring.
- Leaves. Manage leave allowances, leave requests and worker availability.
- Payroll. Run pay runs, export payroll files and send payslips.
- Reports. See how your whole agency is performing.
- Compliance and Training Matrix. Track documents and training for your full workforce.
- Cost Configuration. Set and manage what you pay your workers.
Limits worth knowing on Free
Two Free features let you get started before you upgrade:
- Clients. You can create up to three Direct Clients. Once you have three, the Clients module locks, and you will need Pro to add more or to use the rota and billing for them.
- Compliance and Training Matrix. The matrix is available until three General Workforce profiles have been added. After that, it locks until you upgrade to Pro.
Please note: Jobs, Finance and Task stay free, but on Free they only cover your Care Hires shifts, Care Hires Clients and Care Hires activity. Posting jobs, invoicing and running payroll for your Direct Clients need Pro.
Which version is right for you?
- Free suits you if all of your work comes through Care Hires and you are happy to run any other business in a separate system.
- Pro suits you if you have Direct Clients, want one place for all of your workers and shifts, or need payroll, leave management or recruitment.
